| With the luck GONZO series have been having, these two should turn out to be pretty good. | |||

| Speaking of Gonzo, does anyone know what happened to their movie SPIRIT? I read about it in Newtype around a year ago, and supposedly it was scheduled to be released in 2004...but some sort of nagging suspicion tells me that's not gonna happen. I think it was going to be their first theatrical film, but it just sorta blipped off the radar. Does anyone know if it was canceled? |

| The title SPIRIT change into Agito.
So, Agito is not TV series. |

| Gin-iro no kami no Agito looks interesting. Seems Gonzo is sort of doing some different things. But they are still keeping the CG for mechanical stuff. |

It could also be "Silver Haired Agito" or "Agito With Silver Hair" or something like that. |

| I don't care much about Solty Rei (seems like Bakuretsu Tenshi for an older audience that prefers younger girls), but Giniro no kami no Agito looks pretty interesting. The story is nothing special (it's something I'd expect from Ghibli, though), but the artwork, the music (Iwasaki Taku) and the mecha (Maeda Mahiro) are interesting. Also, if I got it right, they decided to use classically trained actors/actresses instead of professional seiyuu. I wonder how that will turn out...
Gonzo seems to aim very high with this project, and they'll most probably hype it like crazy - I hope it'll be worth it. I'm not a fan of their works, but as Blue Sub 6 and Gankutsuou shows, they are capable of making great anime (they did screw Gankutsuou up in the end, though, but not too bad). |

| First, we have to wait for SOLTY REI. I checked up the site and The girl Outfit looks good, the stages sketches too!
From Gonzo, I prefer series more than movies or OVAs, therefore about the Giniro movie I don't Care if I will see a Ghibli Inspiration - I pass. |

| Oh, so is that what Spirit turned into? Coool...
Well, the story seems a bit like something made of bits and pieces I've heard before: a destroyed Earth, a guy from the future and a girl from the past (who seems to have a 'mission' to revive an intelligent human society), mutant dangerous forests, said boy saving said girl and getting some forbidden power... Well it could turno ut really good for all I know. I dunno nuts. But the tagline is a bit cheesy, maybe... "Let's go, for the sake of our future." Right. K. But I have to say the music + visuals in the trailer are really impressive, and as long as the story is watchable I'll definitely try to see it for the lovely visuals. I suppose Gonzo might be trying to appeal to a wider audience by using actors instead of the usual seiyuu? (And looking at the trailer again, cripes, I really mistook Agito for a girl) |

| oh so gin-iro no agito... it's a movie? not a series?
the news update refers to it as a series. seems like someone knows the plot to it already... can someone translate/paraphrase for us? thankyOU! |

| I think someone whose Japanese is better should do it...
Looking at Solty Rei, it looks like some sort of ripoff of Lolita... It really seems a little tasteless to me, the lolis are so obviously stereotypical anime loli with the bizarre hairstyles and colours and the huge boobs for small girls... Apparently it's set in an Art Modern future world... Solty is the name for the small girl it seems... But that might also juts be me trying to see what I want to see, perhaps it's just me not liking most of the projects the scriptwriter has worked on... >_> |
