I'm curious about this. It sounds like a really nice release. I guess my question is this tame compared to Gengoroh Tagame's other works? Because from what I read they were a bit to much for me.

Super tame. There is like...one or two butt shots in the shower and that's it. Honestly it's not just tame, it feels down right saccharine. It almost feels like an after-school special (which is kind of my main issue with it).

Well, that makes me more interested. I read The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame and yeah the content just wasn't for me. But I could see how going from that to this could be a big turn off.

Oh I'm not turned off because it's basically not like Tagame's usual work (which I'm not really a fan of, anyway). It's just that the story itself feels super heavy-handed and kind of patronizing to me, personally. Though I certainly wouldn't question Tagame's sincerity in telling it.

Now this is a pleasant surprise. I've been reading this yaoi for a while, and it's pretty good. But I never expected it to actually be picked up and published. This is one of the few works of Gengoroh Tagame that's not.... Uh.... On the grotesque side if you know what I mean. Regardless, I'm looking forward to this.

Great news! I'm a yuri fan through-and-through and I've never been interested in Bara or yaoi in general, but I love this manga. It's 100% not bara or yaoi and I like the look at lgbtq+ in Japan. Sure, it can be overly preachy sometimes, but it's a nice story and it's definitely trying to get its point across effectively. I intend to drop a few pennies on the official release. (That being said Canada doesn't have pennies, so I should say nickels. ANOTHER reason I like this manga is that Canada exists lol)

As opposed to the unnaturally waif-ish and triangle-headed male character designs for most yaoi manga? Blech. Give me Bara/gei-komi any day.
Can't wait to get this official English release next year! I'm thrilled to hear this news.
