Oh neat, this was the idea that could've been made instead of Princess Mononoke if I recall correctly.

I think this was the concept he had for a film many years ago, but he opted for another focus instead. Perhaps it was Totoro? Well, it's cool that the idea has come to fruition after all these years. I doubt I'd be much interested in an entire film on this, but a brief ten minute short sounds pretty fun. Too bad I'll likely never be able to see it, given it's exclusivity to the Ghibli museum. I'd say they should just release them as a compilation disc for mass consumption already, but the old school style of exclusivity is also kind of something I have to respect them for.

Also, this being his first entirely CGI work is great proof that you're never too old to learn something new. Smile
