I think these'd look a lot better if they were designed more like this is what the character would wear if they wanted to buy a kimono that matched their Eva rather than them plastering the face of the character all over them.

Like from the abdomen to the knee just looks like a normal kimono with interesting lines and colors but then it turns into Payless Spider-man shoes when they literally slap a picture of an Eva on it.

I have to agree with you on that. Having a face on the kimono is a eye sore. My fear is that they will cheap out on the material too. Is the material going to be the same as real kimono's that the Japanese public will buy.

Aren't they ugly little piece of clothing. Agree with previous coms, if they were going to do an evangelion kimonos, best ideas would have been to stick to color scheme and maybe throw in some Nerv logos or whatever symbol. Faces ? Confused

When it comes to capitalism, making sense of how accurately portray anime characters on merchandise might not be high on their priority list. If they had a Shinji/Asuka scene, I would buy that (provided I got a new job by then).

What in the world? "EVA" kimonos?!? That's just plain weird. What next? Kimonos with the American flag on it? Shocked Something like that would surprise me a lot.
