Loving this so far! At first, I wasn't a fan of the artwork but got used to it quite bit now and really been enjoying the storytelling. It's also quite consistent with the manga so I'm happy about that. Hope it can keep it up for rest of the season.

So far I am very satisfied with the adaptation of part 4. The tone of morioh couldn't have been chosen more accurately In my opinion.
Jotaros voice is manly as always.

I still can't get over David bowies passing away, I hope David pro pays due respect to him.
Also hope that no content is cut, due to rumors that it's just 39 episodes.

So glad Jojo's back. Definitely the one to watch this season. I just hope they keep animating it till part 8.

Enter episode 2 and there's already a violence against dogs! This anime is crazy as ever.

Maybe I have misinterpreted something, but judging from the opening, Part 4 gives me a (relatively speaking) rather peaceful and slice-of-life feel...is this true?

I am not a manga reader, but I personally like this change of pace

HAH, the peaceful feel goes out the window pretty quickly.

I'm loving this, I know absolutely nothing beyond stardust crusaders and have forced myself to not read the manga when I heard they were continuing the series. JoJo is definitely one of, if not the top series for me this season.

Curious as to who the big bad guy is this time around, after Dio and Kars its kind of hard to feel super threatened by normal people, even if they are stand users.

We're only 3 episodes in, but yeah, the show has been fantastic so far. Episode 2 stands out as probably being one of my favorite episodes of anime ever. Just so well-paced and stylish beyond belief.

There's really just nothing like Jojo.

Yep! This part is more like a slice of life anime, until certain parts are reached. The peaceful atmosphere starts going away after the main villain is revealed, and it turns more into a more action-suspense type of thing.
But I'll tell you this as a manga reader. This whole part is great, and the anime is making it even better, too!

Peaceful isn't really the word but it is Slice-Of-Life in the sense that it's a "Monster of the Week" show for most of it. There are over arching villains but most scenarios are only 4-6 chapters long.

I'm loving the color scheme this season. Really gives the town an otherwordly vibe.

Sad to see we seem to be following the monster-of-the-day format of Part 3... But it's Jojo's. It still manages to never be boring.

Are there music name references in this part? I've yet to see any. =(

Crazy diamond is a reference to a Pink Floyd song. Aqua necklace references an Asia album. From here on out every stand is named after a music reference.

Crazy Diamond (subtitled as "Shining Diamond") is likely a reference to Pink Floyd's "Shine on, You Crazy Diamond." I'm sure there are more, but I'm not a big enough audiophile to recognize them.

Here's a video showing all the musical references in Part 4 (the uploader's done one for every other part up to 7) with accompanying pics and song samples (SOME OF THESE VIDEOS HAVE SPOILERS! Especially near the end!)

Seeing the side by side comparisons of Jojo version and the inspiration is pretty funny. Some big dissonance there!

They changed the original intro of Phantom Blood and practically took out Danny burning to death in the same arc and you're worried about them pruning out content?
