Are you... New... to the vs series or something? O_o Also I'll never understand this whole "No X-Men, no buy" attitude like Marvel doesn't have great characters outside the X-Men. I mean the "Fox Ban" sucks, no doubt, but there's way more to Marvel than X-Men. Also, MCU... Trash? Yeah sure, and I bet Cowboy Bebop is a mediocre anime that's poorly dubbed in English in your world, right?

Before the movies, sure Iron Man was definitely a B Lister, but the veritable ray of sunshine talks like he's some obscure nobody new the series which is just

Is there a source for the "no x-men" talk outside of a vague apprehension of a potential Disney mandate and that neither of the only two Marvel characters confirmed so far belong to the group? |

An interview with Game Informer seems to refute the "No X-Men" thing but if we're being realistic I'm not expecting anyone outside of Wolverine and Deadpool.
And maybe Quicksilver. Have it be Avengers Quicksilver but make him act like the Quicksilver from the X-Men films. |

Again, Iron Man's big in Japan. So that's why they included him in the game. And they probably want to sell the game to girls in both countries, which is why Ms. Marvel is in there. As for X-Men, I imagine they can't use the movie ones, anyway. Unless Disney wants to pay extra, of course, like they did for Spider-Man.

It might be hard for some people to believe but Iron Man was indeed a b-list hero before the movies.
There's no official confirmation as far as i know, but fans have noticed all the circumstancial evidence points to it. Marvel's complete mishandling and ignorance of X-Men and FantastIc Four, along with their heavy push for their new OC Gwenpool instead of Deadpool to the point she gets representation over Deadpool in events and games. All of them have their movie license with Fox, funnily enough. Hopefully at least Wolverine and Magneto get a spot. -Stuart Smith |

Marvel has mishandled many of their characters. Tony Stark isn't Iron Man yet here he is. Hulk will be in it even though Banner isn't Hulk and if Thor isn't female then that's another inconsistency. If Marvel doesn't update the characters it will show that they have no confidence over their creative choices. Sure, you can say "they're using the MCU characters" but Ms Marvel hasn't even been released yet.
