Just like Bleach...No one asked for this.

Edit: A miracle happened. Someone did. Laughing

Let's not get our hopes too high up. As "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" proved, getting the original creator involved isn't a guarantee of quality.

Could this be the final nail in Naruto's coffin?

Probably not, but one could hope.

A newbie producer with no credits under his belt with a movie production company that has done a bunch of medocre movies.

Yeah, this will go as well as the Airbender movie. Razz

Oh no. Why do these companies think everything needs a live action version?

At least Kishimoto is involved in some way. Hopefully he has some creative input or knows what works in a Hollywood movie and what doesn't.

The movie is going to be entirely the Chuunin Exams then they can have their Hunger Games #138. Razz

Tom Holland as Naruto Uzumaki
Chloe Moretz as Sakura Haruno
Jaden Smith as Sasuke Uchiha

As long as Dragonball Evolution has told them what not to do, it'll at least be better than that. I'm interested to see what comes out of this.

He's not going to have the creative control that you think he's going to have. Hollywood is notorious in not listening to the original creators and getting their input. Even JK Rowling had to pull some strings with the Harry Potter movies and being approached by the actors to get better insight into the characters and the settings.

And Hollywood still yet to properly grasp the shonen genre. Which in this case them cast is going to be a bunch of obnoxious teenagers with magical powers that surely isn't going to attract a big box office grab like Transformers. Not to mention there surely is going to be a major fuss over whitewashing.

My best prediction this movie will make $88 to $100 million domestically and $134 -$200 million worldwide, where the setting will be a dirty version of Naruto where the first 20-30 minutes will be the history, then you have the training arc, where the final villian will likely be Zabuza and Haku.
