I have seen the TV series and I like it. I imagine that VIZ is going to bring the manga to the US.

Great, if Viz bought the right to translate, then another member of Jump Super Star will arrivie in US. Therefore, there is a higher chance for the game to show up in the US releases.

I like Mizuki Kawashita's earlier works better, like Lilim Kiss and others. The style of Ichigo 100% is more of Masakazu Katsura's style (creator of I's, DNA^2, Zetman, Shadow Lady and many more).

Thats because each tv episode pretty much cuts down one volume worth of stuff into it.

The TV series sucks, and I refuse to watch it as such.

If I had started with it, maybe I would like it, however, I started with the Manga, and I love the Manga. I was angry to see how much the TV series sucked. Nice opening and ending themes though.

Viz did mention the series in some Valentine's Day manga special where they talked about different romance mangas way back during Shonen Jump's first year. Also, you have to realize that out of the 27 manga properties connected with the DS game, I believe that 19 have been translated, have just recently started to be released, or are licensed to be released later this year, and Viz owns all the manga rights so far, so the game's chances of coming to North America are getting much better lately.

Finally! The series started to drag quite a while ago and the main character Jupei isn't likeable either overall the series was average hopefully the manga-ka next work is more original.

Yeah, the manga had its sweet, tender moments every now and then, and it's a decent manga that I enjoyed, but I also felt that the story was dragging on waay too long. Too long by a few volumes.

It fell into that "add another girl" mode to spice things up without really attacking the central plot threads.

And the TV series is a travesty. The manga might not be perfect, but it has heart, and the way they compressed the stories kills the pacing and build up! And the horrid, horrid animation. Half the time, the characters have little movement, and their proportions are inconsistent. And the direction is weak weak weak. The humour falls flat when it did work in the manga.

The Jump Festa OVA was well done though. Good OVA-quailty animation, better character designs, and with better pacing and direction.

But glad to see it's ending, it's about time the story wrapped up. Hope the the mangaka comes out with another series. If it's romance again, I hope it'll be more Lilim Kiss than Ichigo. 1 guy, with 1 girl and a blossoming romance. (Ironically, where Ichigo went on too long, I felt Lilim Kiss could have withstood another volume or two.)

Just as a small correction, although Weekly Jump 2005 Vol. 35 is listed as the August 15th issue, it'll actually be on sale starting next Monday. Vol. 34, listed as the August 8th issue, went on sale on the 25th of July. Like most magazines, they seem to date things a little ahead.
