I don't know anybody from around my age who didn't grow up with Nijntje, it's become such a cultural icon. It definitely played a part in my childhood, so thank you for everything Dick Bruna.

I'm happy that he was able to pass away peacefully in his sleep rather than by cancer or some other condition that usually gets reported on ANN. Thank you for impacting many lives.

I love Miffy so much. I still have some cute Miffy stationery which I adore. I' ao sad to hear this but I'm glad he had a peaceful death.
