Hopefully the filler will be good this time instead of the garbage Naruto had.

Hoping for the best! I enjoyed the epilogue chapters of the manga and the look of these new ninja are pretty great (Kishimoto does some iconic designs).

I also hope by "even better than Naruto" that means we'll get to see the kunoichi do more than play second fiddle and cry.

Well if the Gaiden is any indication of the new generation kunoichi's relevance, I am willing to bet that they'll be a lot more prominent. Chocho and Sarada were heavily featured and actually showed some battle prowess in the form of teamwork. Hopefully that's capitalized on more in the actual series.

And thankfully there is no resemblance to the artstyle of the Boruto-manga.

I really hope that they will also adapt the "Naruto Gaiden" story that centers around Sarada and plays before the Boruto movie. That one was excellent and made Sarada look like a really good female lead.
The short story centered around Mitsuki was also decent.

Basically, I hope that they won't concentrate too much on just Boruto himself. A series like that, with such a well-established scenario, should take it's time und give the world and characters some room to breath and have smaller stories, instead of diving headfirst into more world-level threats.
