Let's hope is a lot better than the Art of Fighting anime and the Fatal Fury movie (the OVA were alright).

Hey, I love Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. It's one of the few fighting anime titles with a decent story. And on top of that, they added some drama that wasn't tournament related or centered around the main villain so much.

I also liked the music, voice acting for both tracks (though Terry's seiyuu needs to go to "attack screaming school"), and found it to be a good, overall watch for just 90 some odd minutes.

As for KoF, I'm anxious to see how it turns out. I just hope they don't make Kusunagi as crappy a character as the other one in "Real-Samurai-High-School-Girl-Bout" or whatever.

I'm scared. That concept art looks terrible. And Kyo is one of my favorite characters. I don't have much high hopes anyway.

Which saga? There is '94 to '99 of Orochi saga, 2k ~ 2k3 of NEST saga, and who can forget the latest sagas.

The KOF anime kinda scares me. I was a huge fan back when SNK was really SNK, but SNK Playmore is a poor substitute. Putting ALBA into a KOF anime makes me cry a lot, because Max Impact had such a crap story and is a bad excuse for a KOF game. They better pull this off nicely or I'm just going to be more and more disappointed in SNK Playmore.

I loved the Fatal Fury movie, but I'm glad that the character designer for a new SNK anime isn't Masami Obari this time. Razz That character design looks fairly close to the KOF98 anime intro, and that's what fans would really appreciate.

I just can't let myself get too excited when Playmore's let me down so much. They haven't bothered to release drama CDs like SNK used to, and stuff like that. For them to suddenly make an anime is shocking. I just wonder if they'll actually use the same cast as the games... o.o

2K1 concluded the NEST saga, 2K3 started anew story.

Yes. Not to mention 2002 is a dream match and never happened. Razz

Also, '99 is not part of the Orochi Saga. The NESTS saga started then, and covers 99-2k1. Orochi technically covers all of 94-97, but most of it is really just in 96 and 97. 98 is also a Dream Match. Yay KOF. Very Happy

It's about time. We can't let the anime company which does Streetfighter Alpha have all the glory. Also, if you got a modded X-Box, look for KOF 2003 in a couple weeks. [/url]

I can't say I'm surprised to see Alba in there, Falcoon (who did character designs for MI) seems to be doing the character designs for the anime too (that's him in the article with the blond hair).

Not too fond of seeing Kyo in a new outfit, this makes number 4, and I really like his current game outfit (just didn't care much for the white outfit, but the original is a classic). I don't think it's a horrible design, just excessive. I just hope they don't try to change Iori (at the very worse give him his black outfit with jacket).

I'm not too worried, atleast it's being handled by SNK, but it could use a strong story. And as bad as the AoF anime was, it was still much better than the first Samurai Shodown anime.

Or without a mod chip if you want to play it in English (not to mention for a whole lot less and with 2002). Wink

I don't know it look cool. Keep in mind this is Production IG. Their character design works when they are animated.

The article mentions that concept art of Kyo, K', Ash Crimson and Alba Meira were all shown... Considering the fact that these guys have never all been in the same game its probably a new story.

Falcoon is officially "KOF Producer" of SNK Playmore... He's shown there because of that position. Though the art does look a bit like his.

There were two Fatal Fury OVAs and a movie, and the main characters in that (Terry, Andy, Joe, Mai) are in KoF. And there's Art of Fighting which has characters in KoF as well. But no sole dedicated KoF anime.

I think there was a Hong Kong produced KoF manga, but I haven't seen any Japanese anime.
