Um, just to point out a spelling error, "Shone" was typed instead of "Shonen."

A whole day? Like that matters? We'll be flooded soon enough.
I'm waiting for Bobo, anyway & am so backed up right now, I won't even notice(as I gaze at the 30-odd dvds waiting to be watched in my room). That's right in-between the release dates for the Mirage of Blaze & Gravitation OVA's, so I probably won't be too worried. I bet when I run it by my Naruto-freak daughter, she won't care.

Just remember, not everybody is willing or able to download any anime series and some can only get fansubs on DVD.So as far as those people are concerned it'll be the very first time they will get to watch Naruto, period.

Maybe it's going to piss off all of you. YTV might have the Uncut version unlike the Toonami version.

So far our Fridays will be like this:

06:00 Yu-Gi-Oh (Probably)
06:30 DICE (Confirmed)
07:00 ???? (Maybe Dragonball)
07:30 Transformers Cybertron (probably, because that case was made since Armada)
08:00 Zatch Bell (Confirmed)
08:30 One Piece (Stupid 4kids)
09:00 Inuyasha (confirmed)
09:30 Naruto (confirmed)
10:00 ?????
10:30 ?????
11:00 ?????
11:30 ?????
12:00 Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (confirmed)
12:30 ?????
01:00 ?????
01:30 ?????

Stupid 4kids, YTV would be the king of Fridays Nights with One Piece.

The new schedule should be released this week.

Of course, the US will still be a week ahead of us since the CN debut will be two episodes. But this is still great news, because I don't think that any anime has aired in tandem throughout North America like this before, ever. I really hope we see more of this in the future.

Also, the fact that it's airing after Inuyasha pretty much implies that it will be the uncut version. It would be pretty silly if it wasn't, honestly.

We don't know that One Piece will be airing at 8:30pm. Actually, I'm almost positive that it will be either DBGT (since they'll be a bit short of CanCon now that Gundam Seed is over) or JLU in that timeslot. Also, I don't think ReBoot and Beast Wars are going anywhere, so expect them to stay from 11:00pm-12:00am. They need them in place to ensure that the block has enough CanCon to operate.

i actually have great faith in the naruto dub as far as voices go. the adr is the same guy that did flcl and i'm sure we all know that he did an awesome job on it. no, i'm not being sarcastic. also the guy that's doing sasuke's voice seems like a perfect fit to me. now if you'll excuse me, i'm going to check to see if any updates have been made to the naruto entry in the encyclpedia Smile

And different people have different tastes.

Even IF I didn't feel downloading is an insult to all the people who work hard to make an anime, my daughter complained bitterly over the 70 minutes it took our (1998) computer to download a 10 minute file a friend sent her. There's no way downloading an entire ep of anime makes any sense to me, particularly when I have a backlog of 10-30 dvds to catch up on at any given time.
So, no, I've never seen any downloaded anime. I've actually managed to push thru the Economy MKR box in a day which still leaves the last half of Lost Universe, all of Giant Robo(fell asleep watching the commentary Friday-too tired), the latest InuYasha, Dead Zone uncut, Fushigi Yugi 7, Megazone 23 Part 2 & 3, the 2 Peacemakers I'm backed up......

As I keep saying, there is soooo much licensed stuff out there to watch, who has time to download? All I know about Naruto is Shonen Jump & my manga is so backed up, I think I dropped off with the January issue just to catch up on everything else. From what I've read of it up to that point, I still prefer Shaman King. I'm sure I'll enjoy Naruto, but as an Excel Saga fan, I've thought Bobo sounds like one big shonen spoof & that's the one I'm actually more anxious to see. I've been enjoying Zatch Bell more than what I've read of Naruto thus far, but I like demon stories like InuYasha. Yeah, Naruto has a demon fox, but the focus is more on ninjas & I prefer Flame of Recca on that front

It's like places opening at midnight to sell Harry Potter or screen Star Wars. There will be people there at midnight, & there will be others waiting for the fuss to die down. Naruto isn't going anywhere in 24 hrs. Canadians can be happy all over the place they got something first & we'll see it a day later.

If it is on at 9pm then it prob is uncut, they might have a warning on it.

I'm just curious, but does YTV actually air uncut episodes of anime earlier at night? In the U.S., [AS] only starts at 11:00 PM.

Gundam SEED airs virtually uncut at 9:30pm. There have been a handful of minimal, almost unnoticable cuts, but they usually don't make any sense. All sexual content and most brutal violence (ie: spoiler[the deaths of Siegel Clyne, Nicol, and Tolle]) has been intact.

Inuyasha used to air at 8:30pm on weeknights uncut but got pushed back due to YTV needing to fill their yearly CanCon quota for the summer.

Also for those of you american's (or other people for that matter) who don't know, unlike in america where people in the central time zone watch the shows one hour earlier, in Canada it's two hours later. Because the pacific broadcaster broadcasts to the pacific, mountain, and central time zones and the eastern broadcastor broadcasts to the eastern, atlantic, and Newfoundland time zones. So 8:30 is the earliest a show will air at that time (unless of course if you have satelite and get both broadcasts).

I am just glad that YTV decided to take up Naruto. Dragonball series and those other shows, during Friday night, which are constantly repeated, were getting on my nerves. It's about time YTV got some better quality anime shows, instead of just those pointless shows that will be airing on YTV in the fall!

Just hope the voices for them in English are as good as the ones in Japanese. Having the uncut version is probably better since there is some amount of violence and other stuff in Naruto. If that was all taken out then the entire show would be pointless to watch.
