Wow. Unexpected but great news. I expect this to be a sequel but please 2-cour. Can't wait for this show to premiere!

I can't believe this is actually happening. Kino's Journey is one of my all time favorites and I wasn't really ever expecting a sequel of any kind. I hope this is a sequel and not a reboot and I hope it's a 2-cour and my ideal studio would be J.C. Staff, I think.

Finally we are getting a GOOD anime announcement from Dengeki. I am happy but I think it will be very hard to beat the atmosphere of the original season back in 2003. I don't even know if they will brand this as a sequel or just reboot everything. Probably easier to reboot it especially since there's a new manga coming out. SAO spinoff by Sigsawa will probably get an anime soon too.

This is AWESOME! Out of all the anime I've seen, I still place Kino at number 1.
Funny enough, I've read the novels and kinda prefer the anime...

Wow. 2017 would be really great if this also aired this year. There are lots of great announcement lately. I hope it's sequel and not a reboot.

Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, Konosuba, Full Metal Panic, and now Kino's Journey? Have I been a good boy lately?

I knew 2017 was going to be a great year for entertainment, both tv shows, movies and anime, but this just adds to that 100 times over. I loved the original anime series to death and will be sure to rewatch it when this airs as it was a wonderful experience.

It is almost like the anime industry has learnt to stop spitting out pure fanservice copy/paste anime and continue/rework good, original content. Thank you!

Now there's interesting and unexpected news!

I would guess this is going to be a remake starting from the beginning rather than a sequel, because as much as I liked the original it is getting on a bit and from an era of anime production methods which haven't aged gracefully. My guess is that do-over with shiny new HD animation is more likely to find a new audience than a sequel which people who didn't watch the original might not bother with.

Definitely looking forward to it.

I don't really know of the series, but good news for fans! Also, I'm a simple girl. I see Soma Saito's name, and I click. xD So I'll definitely be checking this one out.

Woah.
I never ever thought this show would come back.
It was a total sleeper-hit.
Almost no one I know has even heard of this show.
But I absolutely love the first series.
The DVDs deserve and have a proud spot on my shelf.
This is so awesome!
I don't really have words.
This is so out of the blue, so unexpected, and so welcome.
Kenshin and Kino are coming back (favorite male and female respectively)!
It's like 2017 was made for me!

The only stories they'd have a need of 'rebooting' would be the introductions - to Kino and Shizu. Most of the other stories adapted in the first anime and on the novel don't really require any previous knowledge outside of those stories, so it could be all new apart from that.

I just hope we get spoiler[Grenade Girl]
