And I was lucky enough to see it twice.
I went in some Gundam museum thing that was in the mall where that statue was, it wasn't very good though.

Honestly disappointed in the fact they're replacing this with the Unicorn Gundam. I would have liked to have seen Nu-Gundam or even Turn A in it's place. Unicorn better go from Unicorn to NT-D since this is the case.

Why take it down at all? It's a work of art that puts the likes of the Eiffel Tower to shame. It sucks they opted to go with Unicorn being its replacement instead of Wing or Wing Zero.

It does? I don't remember this thing ever getting enough attention to the point of becoming a national landmark or being something that most people visit Japan for.

They are going to make a moving version in 2019-2020. That Gundam statue may be reuse again but with new abilities. That statue so far only can move his head and smoke come out from chest vent.
IMO Wing is not iconic enough but to see Unicorn get it rather than Zeta or Nu Gundam is really weird.
