Yes! I've read everything Crunchyroll has put out. I can't wait for it to resume. I've been waiting for so long.

Thank goodness I was starting to wonder if this was ever coming back. Let's end this!

So happy to see it coming back! Very Happy It's going to be bittersweet seeing it end, but it will beat having to endure more hiatuses.

I'm hoping it ending will lead to a second season of the anime or at least another live-action movie. I realize that's unlikely after how many years it's been, but hey, a man can dream. Razz

Rather than time, I think sales are what would make a second anime season impossible. I am pretty sure the first anime season was like 400 per volume?

Wow, I didn't realize it sold that poorly. But I do remember FUNimation saying Japan was looking at international sales before making the final decision. Guess the sales here were equally unimpressive.

Sad thing is, Jellyfish has REALLY taken off here recently. If only Kodansha and Crunchyroll had released it sooner, maybe a second season could have been more than a pipe dream.

It did sadly end up in their SAVE line, for whatever that's worth. Which is just utterly depressing. I blind bought the series based on the buzz I'd heard on ANN and that I loved the Limited Edition's box. The result being that I was blown away by it's gorgeous story, overall quality and portrayal of it's characters. The set even had some of the absolute best extras I can remember.

I'm collecting the manga to support it fully, but for me the anime added some charm to it that I really wish could continue. If anyone hasn't watched it, I highly recommend at least giving it a shot. The whole show is streaming on Funimation's website, even their YouTube and the series is only $22 on rightstuf.

The quality of the show even impressed the production staff. I read an interview with the dub's voice director where he talked about the series. He said that most of the titles he works on solely as a job, but Jellyfish was one of the few titles he was personally passionate about. He even extended the dub recording a couple of extra months just to make sure the dub was as good as it could possibly be. Higashimura's end-of-volume talks mentioned that the Japanese director of the anime was extremely passionate about the title as well. I wish it could have sold half as well as all the love put into it.

But at least the series is finally getting some recognition now. Hopefully Tokyo Tarareba Girls will have better luck. It's another amazing series by Jellyfish's creator, and Kodansha has recently started releasing the manga here.

Same here. I also agree that the anime really takes the material to another level. It's the reason I got into the series, so it's a shame it'll probably never get another season.

I recall that this was in it's final arc, so hopefully now it can get a proper conclusion Smile
