Shocked Cool, I like long series, but they all have to end sometime. If only someone would risk bringing over a 35 volume post apocalyptic shojo without fluffy artwork, even in two-in-one vols, but I can't see it ever happening, unfortunately. Basara was a fantastic series, it's a shame that never seems to translate into cold hard sales numbers though. I still want 7Seeds over here though!

7 Seeds is incredible, even better than Basara (and I say this as someone who loves Basara). Really looking forward to the spinoff series and drama CD!

I own the Japanese volumes, but I'd still definitely buy it again if Viz ever licenced it.

I see. So it hadn't ended yet even after all these years.

I had wondered how things turned out in the end. So it's already been 16 years. Shocked

FFFF! I knew I was a little behind, but dang! The last chapter I read (I think the New year's edition of Flowers) definitely had things moving along. I hope this ending is a little more fulfilling than Basara's. (Which wasn't bad, but to me, left for wanting?)

I'm gonna try and pick up this issue of Flowers, and pre-order those volumes. 7 Seeds has been a brilliant and bittersweet ride.

Also, I understand using "it centers on Natsu," but I feel that's also inaccurate to say? And some people pick the series up thinking they're "stuck with" Natsu and drop it because of that. (Which also does Natsu a huge disservice, in my opinion.)

When/where was that in the series? Since reaching a certain place, it seemed like things were going to wind down.

I left off right after spoiler[the characters find out there are hundreds of children asleep somewhere in the ant/worm nest]. This was less than 10 chapters ago and I did not get the impression that the series was ending. I thought we'd just reached the midpoint because I assumed the author would want to explore spoiler[how the characters build a life for themselves after all the teams are gathered]. I guess those aspects would be highlighted in the spinoff. Basara had a series of short stories after its main ending, so maybe that's what she'll be doing for 7 Seeds. I'm sad that she didn't make the series longer, though. There are just so many more plot points that could have been expanded upon.

Last month, I read chapter 176. It should end soon. The story seems to be wrapping up nicely with all the loose ends. I love, love, love 7 seeds. It is my favorite manga. I didn't know it took 16 years to write, but it is an amazing story.

Ah. I know where you're at, and I think there's a little confusion. But right after that, it becomes very clear that the series is wrapping up. A lot happens at once too, but given where they are, it makes sense that we'll get some hints of how they'll settle there.

Agreed. I'm glad she's covering things and it looks like we'll get some good closure. There is one character I'm worried about, and I don't think I've seen Tamura-sensei get back to her yet. But I feel like she's the "future" of the series, hehe.

Yeah! I didn't realize it was that long of a work, either. But I can see why. It's such a fascinating and refreshing work. I hope Tamura-sensei gets to work on something just as original and creative next.
