Jeez, some of those Kodocha entries were so wrong! Get your minds out of the rorikon gutters. Anyway...
There's an "art and science" to writing The Island? |

| I hope people realize the emmys have an entry fee to submit for an award. Anime companies have better things to throw money at. | ||||

| Actually, FMA looks like it couldn't be elegiable for a Prime Time Emmy if you read the rules http://www.emmys.org/ From CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY
However, it later states under NOMINATION VOTING PROCEDURES
Down on page 20 there's more information on the Animation Awards, which look to be a juried panel affair and not voted on by the main body of the Academy. So maybe FMA could have been nominated but I agree it would have been highly unlikely the show would have been. BTW, I actually looked this up earlier this summer because I was curious if Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was eligible As to Joan Rivers being on E! - she moved to the TV Guide Channel a couple of years ago (which really only proves you have better things to do with your time than watch E! or the TV Guide Channel |

| FMA isn't a co-production, since it was produced in Japan before FUNi licensed it. | ||||

It's astonishing how many people seem to think writing is just a matter of having a good idea. In the majority of cases the idea's people have aren't actually good and even if someone does have a good idea it certainly doesn't guarantee they will write a good story. Raw talent is part of being a good writer but just like most things in life writing is something you need to learn. Unless one is incredibly talented it is unlikely they will get very far in the world of writing without taking classes. |
