Wow! That's really good. I like the studios mentioned above. I am very happy for them.

It was a good, fun movie. Can't say it was on the level of Ghibli, but Yuasa's humor and style shine through.

Also, Pom Poko was Takahata, not Miyazaki. Miyazaki did win this award, but for Porco Rosso.

Yup, And Pom Poko is from 1994.

Porco Rosso is from 1992.

Thanks for that, it's been fixed.

That is true, but Pom Poko won at Annecy in 1995, as Annecy was held only once every two years back then. Porco Rosso came out in 1992 but won in 1993.

I would just like let you guys know some mistakes, Sorry!

"Pologne" just means Poland in French and "Royaume-Uni" is the United Kingdom (UK) in French so when It says "Royaume-Uni's Loving Vincent" it would be better if it said the "United Kingdom's Loving Vincent" or maybe Mention the films Directors, Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welshman.

I was at the festival and had an amazing time seeing all the big feature films and also about 50 short films. I especially enjoyed In This Corner Of The Wold and A Silent Voice (both made me cry). Annecy is also a very pretty location for a festival it's on the edge of a lake surrounded by mountains. There are several very funny traditions at the festival for example everyone makes paper planes and throws them at the screen while waiting for the film to start and also just as it goes dark before the film the lots of people in the audience make bubble noises. This Trailer was played before each film and it explains why Annecy Festival is so good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzB1TywKELQ

This is my first post on ANN I just wanted to say thank-you because I've enjoyed checking the site regularly for a couple of years now for anime news.
