$8 to buy a figure with a spoon. You would have to be a seriously hungry collector to do that.

The HGUC RX-78-2 kit from 2015 goes for 1080 yen. This is this same kit, but with extra finish (which usually increases the price by 500-2000 yen for Gunpla), includes an exclusive weapon accessory (1/144 scale weapon packs are currently a big seller for Bandai) and is a limited run... which in total means that US Gundam fans who want this kit are probably going to have to throw down at least $20-30 on eBay if they want to import this (and there are quite a few who will, if the 7-11 exclusive RX-78-2 is anything to go by).

Also, remember that this is a model kit, and not a figure: once someone opens the box and puts the kit together, almost all of the resale value is gone, so the "supply" of this kit will always be decreasing.

Not saying it is something I'm interested in (I only collect SD Gundam kits nowadays), but this is definitely going to be a hot item for collectors.

I've had the Cheese In Hamburg(er) curry. It met expectations and even exceeded it a little because the cheese helped offset the heat of the curry.

It is rare to see a full 1/144 go for anything less that ¥1200. The small Bearguys go for about ¥800 each.

Semi-related, your entree will likely cost more than the figure IIRC.
