| Well, considering that Yumeria is an anime that's based on the Namco video game, I didn't expect this to have stellar writing or be a story-driven anime. Most video-game anime don't have strong plotlines (e.g.: Sister Princess). |

Isn't it based on a hentai game? |

| I am not sure if it is or not, will find out soon, guy in my Anime Club has Japanese PS2. I will know soon. He ordered it as well as the GANTZ video game. |

The Yumeria game is not hentai, as said before it is a dating-like game made by Namco and they don't do such stuff. And it being on PS2 proves it is clean as Sony won't allow pornographic content on the console.
I don't find the series that bad, but it is a stereotypical harem anime, just like the gazillion others (based on games or not, doesn't really change anything in this genre). |

It's based on a dating sim.
Yumeria is watchable at best. It's so rife with blatant fanservice and sexual advances that when they try to be solemn, you just don't take it seriously. The whole thing isnt ment to be taken seriously, actually. Especially when you got this whole Sentai thing thrown in just for kicks. The Gym teacher is a riot, though.
In a sort of (not really) related note, AIR is based on a hentai game, and that one is one of the most beautiful-in terms of production values characters and plot- I have ever seen. I would've NEVER guessed. |

| I found the first half of this series to be hilarious, but when the comedy gave out around the half way point the anime itself went down as well. |
