Hopefully there will be a patch for the Japanese Audio.

Same. I have literally zero interest in ever playing a JRPG in English. It's 2017, there's no reason at all not to include it.

If you haven't played this game before I would still highly recommend even if they don't toss in the Japanese audio.

Wait for the inevitable steam sale and snatch it up for ~$20 and you won't be disappointed.

so you would skip out on one the best JRPGs out there in recent years? And it's over something minor like a lack of Japanese audio? I had no problem with the dub personally, aside from Alisa's voice but even that grew on me.

Everyone has their preference. Besides, with all the new English audio added in, the Japanese would be very lacking.

I'll probably buy this for a few friends who'd prefer it on PC.

One very good reason is - the Japanese developer specifically requested that the Western publisher remove the Japanese audio. Also, uh, unless you're playing the Japanese version to begin with, you *are* playing it in English.

I can't wait, I did start playing it on Vita but stopped because want this PC version with much more voice acting scenes. Which personally I thought the English voices were solid. Yes it sucks there is no Japanese option but its not going to happen, you think XSEED actually likes to have less features & thus less sales?

Dat surprise when I noticed that the next message was done by someone with an Athrun avatar LOL, what a weird coincidence.

Anyway, It won't be the first game to get an unofficial undub patch, weather the Japanese like it or not.
If it does not, I guess I will just buy the Japanese version.

Dunno if you actually meant this, but XSEED does not really have a choice in this matter. They don't have the right to add Japanese audio unfortunately.

That is my point. Its not like they want it to be dub only.

I just started the PS3 version. I wonder if I should hold off if there's some chance they might include the added dialogue as a PSN download or something... definitely enjoying it so far, but would be a shame if they do add it right when I finish the game lol
