I have read few chapters of the manga and i personally liked the 2006 series. Though the ending was just a slapped one to end it which i didn't like. I hope this one is a sequel or a retelling and more faithful to the manga.

One a side note, i think Kouchi Yamadera was great as Kasumi Kenshiro and i hope he returns for the role (since we are not getting Kamiya).

Fist of the North Star never dies. Great news, I suppose the time was ripe since a number of Fist related things are coming out. I haven't watched the previous Blue Sky anime (I've read the manga), but I heard it didn't do too hot, hopefully this adaptation won't suffer the same fate.

Whether it's a sequel or a remake, I hope it's not produced on a shoestring budget like the 2006 series was.

I just wish someone would give the Legends of the True Savior films an English release.

I wonder if this came out because of the recent "Omae wa mou shindeiru." meme. Confused

Nevertheless, I've always been skeptical about how good they can portray the action scenes in anime form. I wonder how far they'll adapt the story.
