If the dub was good then why did it get a C-. |

Seconded. ^^;;
There actually is more comedy in the second half, overall, although the show never aims to be a barrel of laughs. Well, episode 18 maybe. That was pretty jolly. |

| I believe the ANN reviewers take in the actual plot into account of how good the dub is. I mean, you could have an excellent dub that's well-acted, but if the plot is lack-luster, it's pretty much moot. |

Ep 15 and 16 is the big turning point for the show. I don't think it would be good to spoil, but in my opinion, it comes out better than eva. |

Because the grade is based more on the actual content of the series, not the language. In other words, it's not a grade based on the actual voice cast, but a grade based on how enjoyable the show was in 'x' language. |

I understand that the overall show/story might not be that enjoyable, but I mean the grading at the very end grades them all individually from one another.
There is a grade for the :
- Story (which got a D), a grade for the
- Animation (C)
- Art (A-) etc.
I don’t know, maybe I still don’t quite understand the whole grading technique that was used here.
Since the Review itself said:
----
"Voice acting studio Bang Zoom! provides an outstanding English dub on this disc, matching the drama and intensity of the Japanese cast word for word. Although the affected dialogue makes it easy to fall into overacting, the actors usually keep their voices restrained, even when brimming with anger."
-
+ Slick artistic design and a great dub.
----
By all means it shouldn’t have deserved a C- then, no matter how good/bad the overall plot might be; that’s what I think at least. |

Like Nagisa said one post before you, that grade is based on how the DVD was overall in that language. Basically, a good dub would have a similar or higher grade than the sub. Simple as that. |

| And it should go without saying that a bad show is not going to be saved solely by an excellent voice cast. If the show is D-grade, and the voice cast is A-grade, then it's perfectly reasonable to see the overall score (show content plus 'x' voice option) land somewhere in the C-grade. |
