The Boom Boom Satellites are a really good band, i really love there music and there blend between live instruments and synths. They really do it well. Love to see them live sometime.....

But hasn't this album been out for a while in the states? Confused

Hey, do you think you could do a review of Sol-fa by Asian Kung-fu Generation sometime soon? That would be great. Cool

Anyway, good work. Keep it up.

The Utena musical soundtrack needs to stay in Japan, and never be licensed for distro here. I'm as big of an Utena fan as you can get, and own the horrid thing. In the last 5 or so years that I've owned a copy of the musical, I've only watched it about twice. It makes you cringe. It makes you want to hurl. And if you aren't already looking away in horror, it makes you want to cover up your eyes.

Ok, it's not as bad as some anime musicals out there, but it's towards the top of the list as one of the worst. I think I only enoyed one song which I believe was one of Anthy's, but seriously, it was horrible all around. The verison of Zettai Umnei from that thing was enough to drive a fan to put the whole rest of the musical on mute alone.

Anyway, has Genon even bothered with any musical soundtracks to date? I think there are a lot more profitable musical soundtracks to invest in than the Utena, like perhaps Sera Myu.

Awww, I would love it if the Utena musical, either the soundtrack or an actual video recording, got licensed over here. Not because I think it's good, of course! "Oooooojisamaaaaaa ni nariiiiitaiiiiiiii!!" I just think everyone who's ever seen Utena needs to experience the silly, corny joy. And that frightening Chu-Chu costume. I must admit I liked the girl who played Anthy though, she actually has a very professional voice.

I am absolutely thrilled about Utena getting recognition in any way possible, and the music is only a small aspect of the greatness that *is* Utena.

However, Geneon made a bit of a mistake releasing the 4th OST before the 3rd OST. First, the 3rd OST is nothing short of amazing. None of the previous arc's duels sound as amazing as the Akio arcs. Second, the 4th OST is for hardcore fans *only*. It is mostly re-arrangements of duel choruses. I think they're great, but I'm sure most people won't...

I don't think that OST 5 will make it to the states. It's a two disc set. The first disc is a CD Drama with some bonus BGMs, and the second is full of select songs from the musical. It's indredibly hard to find and I had to get it off of Yahoo Japan. Utena CDs are purely collectors items past OST 3, but then again, it's awesome that they are becomming more easily available now. I suppose anything Utena is amazing :) Everyone needs to expierience it...! :D

I don't think it'd hurt for any companies to release any musicals based off animes, either. Especially the Sailor Moon ones and the Rose of Versailles ones. :) I'd definitely buy them!
