Seems that ANN is finally back online after four days. However, news posted on the backup server (e.g. announcement of Di Gi Charat, FMP!: TSR and Beck) during the interval has been lost; probably needs to be reposted.

Nothing is disabled right now. But iover the course of the 4 days we first disabled the interactive portions of the site, then we disabled everything except the front page... -t |

Hm, I thought it was just my internet connection. Since last week, random sites have been extremely slow for me, and my internet connection randomly died out on me on random sites (even Google). I was about ready to call SBC, but it seems like ANN is back...

Not for me. Glad I'm also an Anime on DVD user, so I was able to discuss about FUNi's acqusition of Second Raid (among other things) while ANN was fixing their server. But it is nice that ANN is back up and running; hopefully there won't be any more major server issues in the near future. |

When I was trying to go on ANN, I thought my computer was acting up; I checked my internet settings, everything was how I set it up, and I didn't have any problems going to websties like Google. I thought it was just acting slow when I tried to go on ANN, but then I saw the announcement and that the sites server was down.
But I'm glad you guys are back! Thank you for the news and keeping in contact with us! |

 welcome back ANN.
My only beef was that while you were on your backup server, you called it a site "Hickup". I kept reading that thinking WTF, this is a little more that a hickup. Bad choice of words I think coming from a news organization; more accurate would be "System Failure" or "Terminal Error" or "you will only be able to access the front page and nothing else". But hickup, thats stretching it. Anyway glad your back, hope no one was standing near the server when it blew up. |

During that time I was actually thinking that some higher-ups just casually shutdown the site down. I was getting afraid that I would have to move on to somewhere else. Even in the little time I've been here I've learned a lot from this site.

I got scared for a little while. I hadn't been on ANN in about an week and when I fianlly tried to access it, I couldn't. Then my friend suggested that maybe ANN was shut down, and I was like in denial for a little bit. Thank God this site is still up and running! It's the only place where I know I can express my opinions for anime and not get laughed at.
