Awesome. I never read the Sailor Moon manga and I never felt like seeking out the old flipped version.

Was AI Buster created by an American fan or something? Because if they are just translating a Japanese novel, then any continuity errors are the fault of the author and not Tokyopop's responsiblility. I'm not a .hack fan, so I really don't care in this instance, but it seems odd.

"Will Be"? It's already been released. Anyway, that's a minor nitpick.

I personally don't mind a higher price point for a good series and a good translation. With this new mature-rated line, I'd really like to see Del Rey get some good series and take advantage of it.

IIRC, it had been on a monthly schedule ever since it started coming out, so this isn't exactly news Question The Negima anime? Well, if you expect it to follow the manga exactly, it's crappy on those standards. Although it had an "original" ending, I was glad that they did put a conclusive ending in, and overall, I found the series to be pretty fun with a few poignant emotional moments, like episodes 15 and 19. They're putting in lots of cool extras with the LE releases, too.

We'll have to see what happens with Suzuka when Del Rey brings it out later this summer. It's not exactly a "mature" series, but compared to the anime version that aired last fall, there is far more b00bZ and other etchi content in the manga.

Oh yes! A Wallflower anime! It's about time this manga got the props it deserves! I'm so glad to hear that it's one of Del Rey's top 4. Now bring on the animated Sunako-chan! Very Happy Very Happy

Yes, you're right. Desert Punk was on a monthly schedule since May, I believe. Vol. #3 was released on May 23, Vol. #4 was released this past June 20, Vol. #5 will street on July 18, and the sixth and final volume will hit the streets on August 15.

The news about TokyoPOP reprinting the Sailor Moon manga sounds promising. Perhaps if the sales of the relaunched SM manga are satisfactory, this may entice Toei to reconsider renegotiating the SM anime license to the R1 distributors.

Yeah, they're really giving the Negima anime the works. Between all the extras and the monthly release, I'm considering actually getting it.

Oh please let them re-lease the Sailor Moon Manga, I really want to read it, but I can't find it anywhere. I just hope if they do they keep it more original then the dubbed anime.

That's what I'd heard as well, that they'd yanked the licenses for the first 4 seasons of the anime once they expired and flat-out said that Stars would never be put up for licensing. For whatever reason (heavy cutting/editing done by DiC & Pioneer, perhaps?), it's pretty clear that they don't want Sailor Moon being sold or distributed in this area of the world any more. I've also heard that the manga author was dissatisfied with Sailor Stars in general.

The question on the Sailor Moon manga is will it be flipped or not? Hopefully it will be released unflipped and re-translated with the original names.

It would surely be unflipped, just like they did when the re-released Card Captor Sakura. I would think they would re-translate it (if the original was innaccurate or altered, which it probably was) as well, but we'll just have to see on that one.

Seems kind of stupid to me. There is the fan base out there who would quite happily buy it if was released in a decent manner (un-cut and perhaps re-dubbed). Not to mention all of the new people who have NEVER seen it and the potential fans who could be drawn into watching anime becasue of Sailor Moon (like I was).

As for Sailor Stars, again, fan base and why let the bootleggers get money for it. I have to admit I do own a Hong Kong Bootleg of Sailor Stars but if I could get a legitimate release...that bootleg goes straight into the recycle bin.

As for the manga, all the gods willing, in the proper right-to-left format and with a re-translation.

If that were to occur, I know I'd buy it. I refused to buy it with the dubbed names though. It just...bothered me. That being said, I own 12 volumes in French (yes, I know, they changed the names there, etc, but I bought it before it was ever translated into English, and also have some of the original Mixxzine manga magazines specifically for the Sailor Moon/Magic Knight Rayearth too) as well as 1 volume in Japanese. I'm planning on just getting the series in Japanese (like I did with Sailor V and two other Takeuchi series), but if an English release like described above were made available, I'd be perfectly content not to have to spend that much time trying to translate it myself. Sailor V is taking me long enough as it is.

That's another one that I wouldn't mind having.

One more thought on the anime. If they were to re-release it, I hope that they would include the OVA's as well:

Make-Up! Sailor Senshi (movie), Sailor Moon SuperS (special), Sailor Moon SuperS Plus - Ami's First Love (special) (and any others that I've missed)

That would be cool! Cool
