wow really old i was watching the trailerlike a month ago but it's still a cool trailer but for some reason i find the naruto movies kinda boring movie 1 was cool but 3 sounds kinda stupid from what i have read.

Heh, I follow Naruto pretty closely, but this week is the first I've heard of the third movie. Now I know why, it looks extremely stupid. This is the type of story that we get in the filler episodes or as a movie short, not an entire movie. Maybe it would be safe to see this as filler until we (hopefully) get a decent Naruto part 2 movie. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

Ugh, it just doesn't even feel like Naruto anymore. Why is it so hard to find decent writers for Naruto filler and movies?

Hmm, the news about a 3rd Naruto movie is very old indeed. In fact, while I was in Japan a month ago and visited Akihabara, I got a cool little flier advertising this movie. I still have it.

For those of you that aren't aware of what the movie is about, I will give you the lowdown. First of all, you should know that the movie is titled "The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island!"

Uzumaki Naruto, Hatake Kakashi, Haruno Sakura, and Rock Lee are sent to protect a prince during his trip around the world and see that he returns safely to his home in the Moon Country. The Moon Country happens to be really rich and as such the Prince tends to buy anything his heart desires. During his travels the Prince comes across a circus group that features a rare Sabre-toothed tiger that he just has to have, so he purchases the entire group. Suddenly a mission to protect the prince that hardly listens to anything said, turns into a mission to look after animals and a prince that doesn't listen to what they say, and in the end somehow get them all back safely to their home country. All the while there are three mysterious Ninja wielding some frightening jutsu waiting for them.

Somehow I can imagine the script writers coming up with this premise in the wee hours of the morning during one of those games where someone starts a story, then the next person adds on to it, then the next adds on and so on.

Wow, all I saw was "The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island!" I didn't even read the news post... I'm thinking God, what's next, the pillow fluffing contest on pointless isle?

I'm sorry. I didn't know it was in the ANN encyclopedia yet. I just Googled it to find some quick info on it and that was the third link given. I'll make sure to check the ANN encyclopedia next time.

This has officially grasped my interest in this movie as far as the Japanese dub is concerned, Animal Hamaguchi and Kyoko Hamaguchi being in there is a biggy for me as wrestler.

Yeah, no kidding. Next flick they should fight some pirates. That I would watch.

Most likely someday they'll try anime crossovers as additional marketing ploys. I can already see it -- Naruto vs. One Piece.

Sounds like a disaster, and most probably would be one.

And we'd all watch it too. Sad

It's the same thing as Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs. Predator. Both sucked, but they made money based off of the success of the individual series of movies.
