Yay, a cable company which has absolutely no experience in the anime or dvd business. I guess Manga's becoming the MGM of the industry. Rolling Eyes

A Manga Entertainment representative told us that, as part of the Starz Entertainment Group, Manga Entertainment should benefit from more funding for new licenses and projects.

The last thing they need is more funding for new licenses and projects.

Anyway, let's just hope this doesn't affect the domestic release of SAC movie.

Well, isn't the SSS movie mostly Bandai's baby? Yes, I know that the previous releases of SAC were a joint venture between Manga & Bandai, but with the recent hoopla that Bandai generated by declaring "Don't fansub SSS" it makes me think it will be more in Bandai's hands.

That's just my impression, though.

Meaning what? What exactly did they do to it?

Anyhow, I can just hear a lot of anime fans crying "sellout" right about now...

I just hope that somehow, Manga got Angel's Egg from Anchor Bay, and that they plan to put it on dvd. That, or the license expires, and Bandai Visual gets it.

Here here, Angel's Egg is a classic that really needs to get released.

Manga Entertainment are the worst anime company of all time so if this move see's another change in management then great because they are still making the same blunders they made years ago.
