Wow.....it's true that line alone made X Men 3 30~40 million. I didn't realize that X Men was such a big thing in Japan, maybe movie people wanted a change from Gedo Senki.... |

Actually, i think this is just another one week first place movie. Gedo will be on top the next week again. If you look at August 19 - 20 boxoffice results, you will see that Superman made the 1st place, but already the next week it was surpassed by Gedo.
So yeah, this one will fall down just like Superman. |

X-Men ~might~ have more staying power than superman, but I agree that Gedo Senki isn't done with it's run either.

------------------------------------- Gendo will still do well, but I am not sure if it will climb back to #1 again(I predict X will stay there for atleast 2 weeks). I guess it all depends on what is coming out in Japan though. |

I certainly don't disagree with you on that, but it's hard to call how different parts of the world respond to things, plus being at #1 for one week matches superman. I contend that Gedo Senki will hop back up (of course I could be way off base too). |

Gedo Senki had to be knocked out of first place eventually, but I was hoping it would be relaced with a better movie than Xmen 3. God that movie sucked, it had almost no continuity with X2 and the story was pretty much torn to shreds.

Hey guys.
if Gedo Senki was 1rst for almost 6 weeks, you can just so far watch the movie like 3 times, maybe 4. so eventually has to be a slow pace |

Speaking of X-Men, MST3K own Michael J. Nelson and Bill Corbett are going to riff X-Men 1 sometime this week. You can get at RiffTrax later this week.
I can't believe Mamai Vice is that high on the top 10 for long. Didn't it sink like a rock after week two over here? |
