i hope they do the dojin conversation between Ohno and Ogiue about which materials females use...
god i laughed my ass off in manga (forget which volumn) but when they argue about which dojin females masturbate to is just hilarious... |

No, I think this guy is right, Kujibiki Unbalance sucked, I don't know what the Genshiken guys in the anime saw in it, it was pants. |

Well, don't be. We're getting more Genshiken and thats what matters. The authors even making an extra manga volume, so you have no reason to complain. Finally we get to see some animated Ogiue action >:3 |

According to the encyclopedia, Volume 5 has Dojin in the title, so that's a good bet... I'm pretty happy to see Genshiken, even if a series would be nicer. I just bought the manga on line (waiting for it to show) but is genshikin done in japan? (save this last volume ORLY? was talking about?) |

Yeah, Genshiken is pretty much over. Volume 8 was supposed to be the last volume, but I guess Kio Shimoku had a little more he wanted to show, which is just fine with me
.

From what I understand, the Genshiken OVAs are being offered as an extra on the Kujibiki Unbalance Box Sets (each set contains two DVDs). So pretty much, they're reversing the roles of the two shows from the first season.
(Got this info from a blog, which I believe is a summary translation from the Japanese Genshiken site.) I do wonder, if the shows get licensed in the US, if they'll be packaged in the same way the first season was. If that were the case, in order to get the Genshiken OVAs, one would have to buy the Kujibiki DVDs. |

i wouldnt mind as long as i got genshiken. but genshiken by itself is more satisfying. also remeber AT LEAST WE GOT GENSHIKEN! whoo hoo! i bet ogiues english voice will be tomboyish. i can see it now. i mostly looking forward to it because of her. spoiler["HOW DARE YOU WHACK OF TO MY OGIUE!" - SASAHARA] |

If that was the case, I'd wait until either, they release a new boxset including the OVAs and none of that Kujiun crap or just steal them from a friend who will buy it

i realy like the show, but the third dvd was a pain in the ass to find, i happy to know that the ova's are coming.

That line was so priceless. I couldn't help but laugh at that scene in Vol. 6. As for the Genshiken OVA's that's good. I opted not buying the Genshiken anime due to prioritization and already owning the manga (which has more to it ATM), so I'll probably have to rent this when/if it comes out here in North America. I just hope that it doesn't get bundled with Kujiun, if that gets licensed here as well. |

i just thought of the most horrible thing on the way to work. WHAT IF.....they make ovas right.....but they condense the story so much into 30 or 40 minutes and only release maybe 3 ova like kujiun. they wont get the whole story of the manga and totally mess up the ending! also humor and important plot stuff will be tossed on the editing floor. IT WOULD SUCK IF THAT HAPPENED! |
