You know, I hope there's not a need for somebody playing Godai to be able to break dance or sing and play guitar like some of those guys were doing. Godai: the street performer, anyone?

The guy they picked doesn't look too bad for the role. I just hope he's not a hack, I'm really hoping this turns out well. But now for the more important casting choice, who's going to play *points to avatar*

Yeah, casting Mr. Yotsuya will be very difficult. Maybe if Michael Ian Black was Japanese Laughing ...

I'll try to watch this, but I've no hope for the live-action titles based on what I've seen. Yotsuya-san's casting will be interesting as will Ichinose-san. Clearly, I hope for the best in casting, but even if they get that right, there's still the issue of the story, direction, and actual acting.

It's not that odd for them to do that. In all fairness, as I've really gotten very familiar with the concepts of auditioning for film, it's important to do something to make you stand out from the rest. I've spoken to a number of casting directors, and they've acknowledged that it's a good idea to make good and interesting choices when going up for an audition. They don't have to be the "right thing" necessarily, but if you can do something that makes you stand out, you are more likely stuck in their minds - possibly leading one to get a role, even if it's not the primary one.

It's hard to say how good a job he will do. MI is my favorite series, hands down. It has an endearing quality to it that makes it my most watched and beloved series. That said, I'm hopeful. I loved the live action GTO. I don't mind a different take done on the characters, as long as it's done well.

I just hope it won't be as short as the GTO Live Action series.

In the old movie, I think Yotsuya was just about the only character who was portrayed pretty well. I hope they get someone really awesome to do him, because he has the potential to be totally hilarious in live action form.

...I want one of the Piyopiyo shirts from the video.
