Wow a ghibli movie on national TV. Wasn't Kiki Delivery Service shown on BBC2 (as well as Laputa) one time?

I wonder if they'll ever show Whisper of the Heart on Uk tv >> (the most underrated Ghibli movie ever!)

Ah brilliant, I only ever see ghiblis work on film four, having it on terrestrial would be great. Maybe a christmas season of ghibli films would help the notoriety of anime to spread in Britain.

Oh excellent can't wait to see it and because it's on the BBC it'll mean no adverts Very Happy

Laputa was shown on ITV in 1989 just after Christmas. I know this because my parents taped it for us and we still have it Smile It was shown again in 1991 with a few scenes missing I think. After that no Ghiblis until 1997 when Sky showed Totoro and Porco Rosso on Sky Movies. I taped them this time.
