Thanks, ADV Editors, for finally adding that news bit to the site. This is awesome news but why did it take so long to post it on the main page of your site?

Err, ANN editors :-p

We forgot. I was planning on waiting a few hours after the interview was published, then posting the news item. But everything's been so hectic lately that I completely forgot.

I am just blown away. I did not expect ADV Films to pick it up.

*cough* ADV, please try and use Coastal Carolina or NGP/Animaze studios *cough* Razz

My brother will be so pleased about this news.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did, considering they used an entirely new cast for Comic Party Revolution.

Le sigh. Sad

no, please god no..... Crying or Very sad the dub for the first season was absolutely wonderful, Belldandy's voice was even more beautiful than in the sub IMHO. But i guess there's nothing i can do but be patient.

If you want to keep the current cast, shout it to the hills, non-stop and as loud as you can.

Remember when ADV aquired the mini-specials and movie of You're Under Arrest? They originally announced that they would recast the dub using their own actors. But after a prolonged period of fan outrage, they cut a deal with Coastal to use the established cast.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease, folks. Start floodin' 'em with emails.

I'm starting to think that voicing Belldandy is going to be one of those "rites of passage" for voice actresses here in the states. Seriously, if Juliet Cesario, Eileen Stevens, or Bridget Hoffman aren't chosen this time around, Bell's fans country-wide are going to have a FOURTH voice actress to tear into.

Ridiculous, but at least it's a license.

Let's hope they keep the same cast. I want to see the show someday. I have to catch up on reading the manga. Amazing it's had over 215 monthly chapters for the past 17+ years. Maybe the same cast can make it seem more lovable to the longest running harem manga ever (in terms of years).

This is great news! I've never seen the TV series but I loved the OVAs. I might check out the TV show now that I can see both seasons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Coastal Carolina went bust.

I REALLY wish I could be motivated to care about the English voice, but after 3 DIFFERENT voices, I have to say that I don't. I guess I'm one of those people that can totally appreciate the "wonders" of DVDs and just stick with Kikuko Inoue. I'm sure I'll buy it as I have the other things, but I WISH there could have been some consistency in distributors on this one. (*sigh*)

At this point, mainly I just hope they do a good job on the packaging, as those have really varied in quality. I mean, I love AnimEigo and I appreciate them getting the ball rolling with OMG! but damn if I don't HATE their packaging. (-_-)
