Ooo...looks pretty cool. Smile I'm glad they showed more this time than they did at Comic Con...that was torturous.

I've heard that this is the international trailer for the film. Supposedly a US trailer is out this week in thearters. Though it may well just be the same trailer.

Also, I The official site Transformersmovie.com has a slightly diffferent one with the voice of Optimus at the end. I belive that they've already shoved in the fan written line into the trailer.

For my two cents, I'm still not sold. I'm more of a casual fan, but I don't see the point of this film. While not as bad as, say, Halle Berry as Catwoman, this again looks like a Hollywood adaptation that is more in name only.

To me, the designs are still hideous, especialluy for the Decepticons. Yeah, the old designs were rather simple and clunky, but now they look like sharpnel faces. Just because you can add craploads of detail and moving bits, that doesn't mean you have to.

It's George Lucas mentality. More shiny moving things!

Also, how let the Venture Brothers take Optimus to TJ for a paint job? Keep it simple stupid.

Way to 'turn it up', Bay.

"SHIA LABEOUF: There's a lot of stuff... you know, there's new robots that he'll create. Or he'll take something like Soundwave and turn it into Soundbyte and it'll become something else. That's understandable, but in no way is he tainting this at all. If anything he's turning it up and modernizing it. "

To the EXXXXXXXTREEEEEEEEME! Put it in your face and slam it!

Again, I think this is going the route of Catwoman with Halle Berry. I don't think it will get anywhere near that bad, but it is getting out there.

I've been wanting to see this movie since I heard about it but this trailer doesn't help push me to go see it. The Decpticons look wierd and the Autobots look like Rainbow Robo-Globetrotters (too bright and shiny). Plus they didn't really say anything to at least hint at the point of the movie.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. In my opinion, the fact that Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks are the ones putting this movie out, means the special effects will be awesome. Spielberg generally goes all out on a project. And from what I saw of the trailer, I think it looks very interesting.

Wow, that trailer is something else. Now, I'm not much a Transformer's fan, but based on that trailer I think I'll actually see this.

A friend of mine posted the trailer on his LJ, and here was my response to it:

"I'm going to see this movie because it is called Transformers. I have no doubt in my mind that this movie is going to suck incredible *** and that anyone looking forward to it should be shot on sight (unless said person is under 12 years of age), but I am going to see this movie so I can have an honest opinion about it. I'm praying that I find it online before I have to pay...or else I'm going to the theatre drunk and belligerent. This adaptation of Transformers is probably more harmful than Cybertron, Energon, and Armada combined. (Heh, sounds like a gestault. Like ***king.) Seriously, the story and the designs are just painful.

But if it somehow pulls off a miracle and ends up being a decent flick, I'll swear off of swearing and my negative ****ing attitude for a whole month. Yes, I am willing to risk implosion on this one."

Thank you for feeding the George Lucas mentality. As long as there are shiny things on screen, you'll go see it?

I'm sorry, but a bunch of explosions and shiny movie parts don't make a good movie.

Plus special effects with crappy character design amounts to crap. Just because you can render a Decepticon that looks like a giant pile of scrapnel or a certain Marcel Duchamp painting, that doesn't mean you should.

Seriously, people. Quit buying into this mentality and demand quality story, characters, and designs.

Anyone else notice they didn't list Takara in credits at the end of the trailer?

I wish Hollywood would stop pissing on my childhood.

I wish they'd just make it like the new Tranformers comics coming out right now.

The sappy teenage love story just angers me. All you need is two oil platform workers, and a guy in a wheel chair and we're set. This lame brain in a Strokes T-shirt is just going to piss me off.

As for the designs this should be called Lego Bionicle the movie.

This movie will kill at the box office and will yield 2 sequels which will anger me even more. Thanks.

I wonder how many people here visit AICN and actually got that.

In any case the trailer looks a bit better than I expected.

Sounds like your internet male of a friend thinks he's more important than he actually is.

Its sad because I wanted to see the movie more before I saw the trailer. The trailer just...shiny cars and things go boom. That doesn't make me want to see a movie lol.

It's funny how some people are disappointed with the trailer. Wake up. This is not the Transformer movie, it's MICHEAL BAY's Transformers. The king of more shiny things that go BOOM. How could anyone expect anything else?

Looking at the other movies he's made well... It doesn't say much to me.
I'm sure visually the movie might be fine but the acting and writing is what I worry about mostly. I hope Steven Speilburg can help in that department.

It actually reminded me of the the frist Power Rangers movie with ivan ooze. But on a nation wide scale. With blackhawks. The monstor popping up out of the sand? The Scorpitron. heck they even had the same walking noises.

I'm not even that deep of a transformers fan but I was unimpressed. I'll have to wait until the movie comes out.
