damn straight, Moonphase has just become better and better with each volume. And Count Kinkel really is one of the cruelest, most hateable characters I've seen; but because of that, I like the fact that he's there 
Anyways, I personally can't wait for vol 4 since (minor spoiler) it makes it clear that more vampires are going to be coming after Hazuki and possibly even Kyohei. I'm glad I decided to go ahead and collect this one  |

| I didn't expect to like this series from impression I got from the DVD cover and backside blurb. Oddly enough the first DVD was good enough to catch my attention. It also helps that the first two DVDs have 5 episodes as well as a book and postcards. The interviews in the books are actually quite informative and I'm always disappointed when Funimation doesn't include these nice booklets.. I thought it was worth giving the second DVD a spin since the first was such a great bundle for a standard priced DVD. I enjoyed the second DVD even more, and decided to get the rest of the series. The third DVD also has the images on the reverse side of the hanafuda cards in the OP. This series keeps getting better. I was intending on watching volume 4 earlier today, but had to watch volume five of Basilisk instead. It will be sad that so many Funimation series that I'm collecting will see their final volumes between March (starting with the last Speed Grapher) and May with Moon Phase. |

I had the same thoughts as I was looking over the 1st volume when it came out, and I decided to put it off. A couple of weeks ago I got some Best Buy certificates and got vol 1, and I was impressed enough to get the next two the following week. Moonphase seems to be taking a slight turn from the "sugary" stuff, which is good because I find it hilarious how they set it up all serious and then they bust it down into something funny. I'm looking forward to vol 4 to see which direction they take it. |

| I think volume 3 was the disc I was most excited for, either that or the final one. This is due to having watched fansubs and the animation hadn't been quite finished when it aired. Those parts are so much prettier now. And that VIP hospital room, hoooo boy was that gaudy. |

| I got around to the fourth disc and will say that I liked it better than the third. The 15th episode has a really funny alternate OP credits and the last episode has it's ED in black and white. I was surprised once again at how many things change in each volume which keeps this series moving and prevents stagnation. The Neko Manju episode is heartwarming and funny yet it is followed by a really tragic episode (reminds me of Nadia's variety of episodes) which changes the dynamics dramatically. Episode 17 totally won me over in the end where the house/shop is burning down with Kouhei's grandfather and Elfriede inside. If you like the third DVD you have to go out and get the fourth which is just hitting the shelves. |
