Taking center stage for two weeks in February will be "Japan! Culture + Hyperculture." An examination of contemporary Japanese culture. The festival menu will include the international debut of Genius Party, an extravaganza of anime talent. "Robotopia Rising," the exhibitions and lectures about robots, will run in the same Feb. 5-17 period.

Hmm, looks interesting.

Not sure if I'm crazy about DC in Feb., but then again it is Studio 4°C.

Given that Feb. 8th falls on a Friday next year, it'll all be up to my class schedule to determine if I actually attend. It's rather rare for a premiere to hit the DC area first, so in that sense, I'd have to make the most of it.

Yeah Studio 4°C (and Production I.G.) is one of those studios that I would warrant the trip, but I am just so broke.........

Me too, after returning from Las Vegas last weekend. Everything was going fine until I stepped up to the tables. Anime cry But, this is still a long ways off. Airfare and hotels can hopefully be snatched up for a decent rate and even though I've only been to DC twice I can already tell it's a pretty cool place for exploring and eating.

Hee. I can (just barely) see my freshman-year dorm in that picture. Like the *entire* upper-left quadrant is the GWU campus.

It's great to hear one of Studio 4 C's work (more like "works") being shown here. They are a very creative and talented group of individuals, and it would be even better if they got more exposure on an arts channel or on DVD. *still holding that glimmer of hope for Princess Arete*

I've been looking forward to this for months, now I'll go off and continue looking forward to this, Studio 4c = awesome. I desperately want them to get a deal with some company (Geneon or something) that releases all their works ala the Disney Ghibli deal. That would be great.
