I have to laugh at my thoughts. When I looked at the statement my first throught was,
"So who are they going to be his parents?"
Then I look down and see that it's true. Hahaha. 
I do want to see some shots of the process. |

| Well the cast is certainly going to be quite diverse, I'd never thought that Sarandon and Goodman would portray Speed's parents.....this movie certainly is shaping up to be something interesting. |

Thank you. I like to think that I'm funny sometimes. I just couldn't resist mentioning him to play the monkey for the reason that you mentioned. Just cast Katie Holmes as Trixie and it would be perfect.  |

Poor Katie Holmes, I wonder if it's true Tom is monitoring her calls and he's controlling what movies she can do now. Apparently he's trying to force his religion on all her friends making them cut their ties with her.
Anyway I'm loving how this movie's crew and cast is shaping up, I think it's really going to be good if it focues mostly on the relationship between Speed Racer and his brother and has good car racing scenes. |

The part of Chim-Chim will be played by the supercomputing cluster at WETA.
Seriously, though, John Goodman as Pops = win. And I was thinking Natalie Portman for Trixie, that would be a good casting coup. |

This is definitely shaping up to be one to look out for.
I'll admit that I didn't really think much of this release when it was announced, but the star power getting behind it is too much to ignore. |
