they're also playing several dates at Warped Tour. They're really trying to break into the US market.

Anime Expo has announced a live performance by ORESKABAND, and given that most American fans can count the number of ORESKABAND songs they've heard with two fingers.… Wink

Well, i dont know other people in here but i wanted to hear about this girls back in Texas with Go! Go!, unlucky for ur Go! Go! have not done any anime OP-ED

Their music type is Ska, i hope Ska persons will not be Rude and slam each others because Ska is like this, Slamming each other and throw oneself.

I wish we could get other Jpop singer with more status like Yui but they get ORESKABAND because they are in USA tour and cheap for AX to not bring persons from far west.

I haven't heard these girls yet, but from what I've heard of Japanese ska it's not too bad, such as Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra or another band called Potshot.

Would be pretty sweet to see them play. To bad don't live anywhere close. haha.

Both the mentioned songs rock though. They are really good. I'm sure they will find plenty of fans within the fans. Might be difficult to make it big here in America though.

This is a big catch for AX. Oreskaband are a ridiculous amount of fun and great with audiences. Definitely the highlight of the Japan Night stop at SXSW in my opinion (Go!Go!7188 are indeed good, but there's precisely nothing to suggest they'd be a better catch for AX that I've seen).

I don't think a 10 day tour Japan Night tour in March and a completely different 8 day tour 150 days later August constitutes them being "in USA tour", so you probably have nothing to base this on. It sounds like you are dismissing them from some bias against ska to me.

As for YUI, your claim of 'more status' for her is meaningless in the context of AX (two anime OP/ED vs... two anime OP/ED, to use the measure you applied to Go!Go!7188). On the other hand, what I've heard about her suggests that she'd be a complete dead fish for audience interaction compared to Oreskaband.

This should be fun! I'm not really a fan of their music (well, the two that everyone knows, anyway) but the girls themselves are very cute and they seem like they'd be a blast to watch live.

Of course there are other performers we might prefer to see at AX, but really, I think they are a good choice for the con. We need some lively energy in that stuffy convention centre after all. Very Happy

Does anyone know if Tofu has anything to do with this? I'm still really worried about them.

I have nothing agains Ska... maybe regional music like country and reggeton but ska is a very hype slam music type something that no other anime convention have explore, Beside i love more other j-song type of music rather than visual key rock thats the only jtype music to have something agains.

About Yui, her songs are great and she is more well know aside from the measure of been in OP and ED she made a pretty good movie but like you said, 6 girls are better than 1 for a large convention. its would be better than Ax concert of last year.
