So their translation for Wilhelmina's repetitive "de arimasu" is "indeed"? I think that's clever and deserves some praise (even though I won't be watching the dub myself). If only I could understand the reasoning behind the dreadful romanization of her name as "Wirhelmina".

I have a little complaint on the dub; acting-wise everyone is doing a good job, but why most of the voices sound...deep? even the ones that sounded cutesy in the JP version like Shana's and Yoshida's don't retain that in the English version; Shana sounds way cold and serious even when she's happily munching on her beloved melon bread and Yoshida sounds reluctant but not as cute nor innocent. It's a good dub that's far superior to Inuyasha, but it lacks variety in how the voices sound.

As for the series it's really begining to grow on me; it's not revolutionary nor original, but the unexpected twists and how likeable the characters are is what makes this series such an entertaining experience. Definitely on my top 20.

BTW; is there a box coming with the future volume(s), I find it strange that Geneon hasn't released a box for this series yet.

I can't believe that this series is almost over. I can understand the high demand for a second season.

This series handles it's inter-character drama better than most n the genre. My favorite scene is when Yuji's mother is teaching Shana how to cook. There is something very endearing about there relationship which continue with the festival episode. I will agree that the stuff with Margery's lackeys had a nice sad, yet sweet note to it.

I will agree that Yuji is the most annoying aspect of the series. The series carries itself very well without him as proven in volume 4. My preference is to watch series set in Japan is Japanese but am somewhat interested in the dub now that I see diverging opinions. I also love the eye catches that change with each episode.

I can only assume that the translators didn't realise Wilhelmina is a real name.

I've been itching to see this volume after the all the flashbacks held up the story in volume 4. Glad to hear it is a great volume. Makes me even more eager to see it now. TRSI hasn't shipped my DVD yet. I'm tempted to just cancel that order and just pick it up at Best Buy, since I saw Shana #5 there yesterday.

As far as I have seen and heard, no box. Kind of sucks as I like them too and am really enjoying this series so far. If Geneon does a box it typically comes with volume 1. Only rarely do they do a box afterwards. The only one I can think of is Starship Operators...off the top of my head. It came out with Volume 3 included...discontinued now though.

Well, let's hope that Geneon decides to release one with the final volume. I will actually refrain from buying the sixth volume in the hopes that it'll eventually be announced to come with a box.

Or the Japanese licensors insisted that "Wirhelmina" was the correct spelling and wouldn't allow the translators to correct it.
