Wow that's surprising. I mean Lucky Star isn't that great, its like a bad version of Azumanga Daioh.

Really, I did not watch this show. So if that so, why it`s seem to be so popular?

Cute young girls.

+ Aya Hirano + KyoAni + dancing animu opening + a bunch of otaku references. All the ingredients needed to create a super popular otaku aimed anime. I've honestly found it to be the most overrated anime I've seen in years. But that's just my opinion. I only see it being popular because of these elements, not because it's actually a good show.

Really, the show started off a little sour, but now I think it's pretty good. It's not the best thing since sliced bread, but it's a nice slice-of-life show. I know I've been through all the studying and procastinating. I'm very much like Konata in the cram-at-the-last-minute-and-do-great aspect.

I'm not watching it for the cute girls either. I do love Aya Hirano and the OP, but that's just me liking them. The anime/otaku refrences resonate well since many of the viewers relate in some way. Plus, the Initial D parody was just awesome.

Most people stopped right away, before the show could really hit it's groove. Not many 4-koma based series are funny right off the bat.

Plus Akira, the idol, is just freaking hilarious. Lucky Channel is undoubtably my favourite part of the series.

Half the first episode talking about food turned off many, many, many people. It then got better, but has had dips in episode quality here and there.

Like for example, episode 8 was great, but what the heck was episode 9?
