I went to the museum earlier today. I'm tempted on going back in 30 minutes to see the panel, since I still have my ticket from earlier today for free admission but I'm really sleepy. Carl is a super cool guy who used to hang out at my house many years ago. He was my only friend who would wear a suit and do a Mike Judge impersonation. I found it also funny that one of the five Bay Area artist featured during the exhibition is a high school friend of mine.

If you haven't gone yet the museum's anime exhibit is nice. The museum hosts about four guided tours of the Tezuka part a day with a knowledgeable staff member. There are also two really nice documentaries about Tezuka that are subbed playing on a projector. I didn't realize until now that his older feature films are 2.35 widescreen which is really rare for anime. The only anime title that I own that is cinescoped is Little Norse Prince. I think it was more common in the 60s and 70s.

Unfortunately I didn't get any sleep last night and went to Japan Town after going to the museum. Kinokuniya in SF is moving to a nice two story building later this year.
