I'm surprised they could sell the Blue Seed show and the OVA so cheap. It's a shame they don't do that w/ Nadesico.

Whoa, wait, hold on! Did I just read that an ADV thinpack will have EXTRAS?!

Is the Blue Seed collection actually going to have the same things as the singles or are there just a few little things included that weren't released before? (Or did the singles have anything on them to begin with?)

'm excited about the Innocent Venus releases and glad it's only 12 episodes. For a second there, I thought I was going to have another 7-disc collection to start. Anime smile + sweatdrop Same with 009-1, which I think is a "rent" title for me right now.

Of course ADV's gonna include the omake theater, since that was part of the original show. I'm wondering why the idiots at AOD started a thread on the subject, but I just answered my own question.

They started a thread on it because there was legitimate reason to question whether or not it would be there, considering ADV's policy of removing all extras from thinpacks. An ADV rep confirmed that it would be in the thinpack.

Hitokiri: They remove extras which they added to the discs, not extras which were from the Japan side

No, they typically remove everything except the actual show and previews. It doesn't matter whether it was unique to the R1s or if the Japanese had it, all extras are gone.

How about just about every thinpack they put out? Like the Azumanga Daioh thinpack which didn't include the "movie". Like the Chrono Crusade thinpack that didn't have the Azmaria classes. Various thinpacks for which the originals had seiyu interviews and commentary but the thinpacks didn't.

Some of these new boxed sets are being called "Perfect Collections," as opposed to thinpacks, so maybe they are keeping the extras in. I'm not sure why they're doing yet another set for Abenobashi, but I guess they're trying to combine shelf-space-savings with premium content.

And maybe Nadesico will come along at some point.

The Abenobashi one is a tin, just like Nadia and the new NGE set, so it seems to be a Gainax thing.
