The japanese ip thing is easy enough to trick, but honestly why do all these webcast services on both sides of the ocean require IE? Not all of us use windows and not all windows users even have IE.

Beacuse Microsoft is the 800-pound gorilla in the room. Microsoft probably made them a sweetheart deal for some webcasting software or some such, which means that it uses Microsoft's proprietary media formats, in the same way that a piece of music bought in iTunes will only work on Apple software/hardware. |
