It's great that so many cons are doing this but some how I had expected a bigger number. How big is Tsubasacon?
Anime Evolution always raises money for BC Children's Hospital. This year we were able to raise over $5000! This really helps earn a good name for anime cons as well as helping a good cause. |

| Well you gotta remember cons are not big money makers. There are a few exceptions but the majority make enough to pay for the guests and their expenses, expenses for the staff, convention/hotel rental fees, and things associated with the con. Most do not have some huge surplus of cash laying around. And according to the article this con has even breached the 1000 mark yet. I'm just happy to see them trying to do anything at all. I think food drives are especially worth while as food is a basic need of everyone. |
