I found Burst Angel to be fairly entertaining, so I might get this, but it won't be anytime soon.
Could you tell us how long the "The Lightness and Darkness of Jo" is though? |

Does your trashing of a Ken Akamatsu anime mean you'll be the one who gets fired next? |

The comments may sound a little mean-spirited, but he's not going to get fired because he gave nagative criticism to a show.
I thought his comments were hillarious though... |

I seem to like all Akamatsu series, so I'm getting My Santa despite the bad review.
The Burst Angel OVA too, although I still need my own copy of the series.
The rest can all go to hell, they do not interest me.
I wish I had that many anime DVDs. |

Oops ... My bad. And I should've known; there was a discussion before where one noticed that Bamboo was a girl's name.
On a side note: None of these DVD's interest me at all. The only thing I would consider to watch is Robot Wars because of the action. But @ $39.99, I'll pass. I doubt that I can rent and pick it up @ a local Blockbuster store |

40$ for 2 episodes, wince, i mean 50$ for the OVA was alot but at least it was an OVA, but 40$ seems a tall order, even more so after Viz and Funi have listed 13 episode sets for 50$ on release.
I'm not one to bitch about prices, but honestly, for a TV series it seems a bit steep, if they came with bonus features like Bandai Ent's scrapped princess and eureka 7 releases, then it might feel better, but if it's just a DVD+data book, again feels a bit steep, even more so with the recent recession.
*edit*
Looking over CDjapan, they want us to pay the same rate as the japanese dvd buyers. Not to mention the sub only release.

If this actually true, why does it have to be an item that specifically start with the word S? Is it just a convenient way for the story to lead to "Sex"? Oh that Ken What a brilliant concept |

| Ouch, no "shelf worthy" titles this week. That's a shame. |

| Well, at least My Santa is to the point. I mean, what else does a harem anime need other than a virgin, 5+ women and hot springs? Two episodes covers it. |

It also needs ridiculous, unrealistic situations where the main character somehow "accidentally" got his face stuck in someone's boobs==> "He didn't mean to do it! It was an honest mistake!" |

Seconded.
I mean, saying "You have absolutely no reason to waste your time and money with this garbage" just makes his fans want to watch it more. Not to mention the High and Mighty attitude towards anything fun. But at least the track record is intact; what she hates is buried gold to me. |

| Maybe people will buy it if we mention that Aya Hirano voices Mai, the main "Santa" of the show... lol |
