On Friday the 11th, Teletoon will be showing Appleseed at 10pm and it'll probably repeat once more that night and the following night like Akira. So there's something else for my fellow Canadians to look forward to. Smile

I find myself less inclined to watch Adult Swim due to Futurama's ending contract.

When did Desert Punk start airing on adult swim? I completely missed that. (Or is it just a typo on the network?) Already at episode 15 too. Darn. I don't think I'd want to start in the middle.

It runs on Starz Edge or IFC. I forget which.

Ayakashi - based on a adult game, about superpowered teens fighting with the help of giant monsters, bloody.

Ayakashi Ayashi - Adventure quest show with 50 eps or so.

Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales - Horror show with three arcs, the third of which is Goblin Cat which is the basis for spin off show Mononoke (not to be confused with Princess Mononoke).

It's Starz Edge.

You missed the return of Basilisk on IFC Jan. 10 at 8:30 pm EST.

Oh, thank you, Lord Byronius for correcting your mistakes. I'm Not Worthy! I'M NOT WOR... WTF?! Yes, I am, since I Told You! Interesting comment on IFC airing Witchblade, & funny too. Laughing
I haven't seen Basilisk, so I don't know if it fits in with IFC or not. It's still Uncut Anime & that Would Be Enough for Me... if I could afford IFC. I've ranted enough about [adult swim] not getting this, so I'll shut up & go sit in my dark corner... for now...

In Canada? Yes.

By the way, the column has it the wrong way around. Teletoon is to YTV what Cartoon Network is to Nickelodeon.

Teletoon and Cartoon Network both show primarily animation; for kids during the day, for adults at night. The difference is that Teletoon's adult-skewing programming has, in recent years, totally abandoned anime. So it has aired Family Guy, Metalocalypse, The Boondocks and Clone High, but not Cowboy Bebop or FLCL.

YTV and Nickelodeon both show primarily child-, youth- and family-oriented programming; some animated, some not. And while YTV has indeed ventured into edgier anime fare, it's been an uneasy journey. For example, we got season one of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (after midnight on Fridays), but never season two.

To be honest, I was very surprised too when Black Lagoon ended up using that very naughty c-word.

Other than some random mutes in a couple of earlier episodes, it's been airing uncut.

I think you missed Bakugan on Teletoon, not sure if it's a repeat or a new episode...

Oh really? That sucks. I'll probably still watch it, you know, just to finish it out and all. But I have a feeling my rating for this series will be dropping very soon if what you say is true.......

At least Code Geass is on the way to kick the crap out of it! Cool
