It's probably a typo.
I don't know why they called it Chibi Vampire anyway. The real title is Karin. They made some excuse about it having a too similar name to another tokyopop manga runnig at the same time, which had Karin in the title. |

Wow. I've never read about a title I like ending before. Is Chibi Vampire/Karin actually ENDING, or is it just STOPPING? I REALLY hope it's going to have an actual ending.
Well, as long as Tokyopop keeps translating the Novels alongside the manga, I'll be happy. This is the first manga since Sgt. Frog (Ironically, another manga with a changed name) I've really gotten into. Instead of going to the mall and buying it like any other manga (there are no stores that stock manga close by) I go to the local book store and have them ordered (the manga AND the novels) |

Most manga have a definative ending unless the mangaka dies. Some endings are rushed and stupid but it will almost certainly have a real ending as opposed to just stop. |

Aw, I'm sad that Emma is ending. The original manga was very good, and the side stories are very sweet. I hope she continues her historical fiction.

Wow, it kind of saddens me to hear that Karin is ending, I've been in love with that manga for a long time now. It's truely one of my top favorites. I'm not suprised though, I had a feeling the end was near since reading volume 13. It felt like it was hitting some sort of peak, but I was clinging onto the hope that it was just an arc and not the pre-climax. So I guess Karin will be 14 manga volumes total (not including the novels).
Emma suprised me too. I only just finished reading the first volume and loved it. Nice to know it will have and end at least. So it's not gonna be like finishing the first volume of Detective Conan only to later realize that there are 60 more volumes and ongoing.

Cheeky Vampire is the name the series got in germany, because we already have a series with Karin in its name.

Karin 14 will be the last volume; says so in the back of 13.
Definitely aiming for a big finish. |

I just hope it doesn't take Tokyo Pop forever to finish it up. I almost never read scanlations, and when I do, it's only titles that aren't licensed. But I DID read a scanlation of volume 7, thanks to the cliffhanger and the long wait. However, afterwords, I felt so guilty I went to my local bookstore and preordered volume 7. But I do think 14 volumes is a good run. I just hope when Volume 14 IS out here, TokyoPop doesn't lose intrest in the novels.

So Sad! I had just finished watching the first DVD in this series (DVDs by mail - wow) and was going to start purchasing Karin DVDs when Geneon stopped production. I didn't follow through with purchase of the three (out of five) DVDs - I am already holding the two The Story of Saiunkoku DVDs and wondering if I will ever see the rest of them manufactured. So what do you do when you are in this mess - you buy the manga! I am only up to volume 6 and now I hear it is ending!?! Well, I hope it was not rushed to end. I have been happy with the quality and the story so far... Like KamenRiderFaiz555 said, fourteen is not a bad run. Love Hina was fourteen, and Ai Yori Aoshi was seventeen. But I think the quality did drop a bit on Ai Yori Aoshi. It could have been worse. Gunslinger Girl is only six volumes and I was wishing for more of it. Though I prefer the art from the first three volumes, the art in the last three was not too bad (and the story line is still good). If they can keep up the good quality through all fourteen volumes it may end up being my all time favorite. Maybe the answer IS to rent them first and purchase them when the series is finished and available in a box set / shrink wrap pack? Now THAT is a sad thought. But what are we going to do about this, if anything? Anime and manga purchases that will not see a finish cannot be good for the industry. Still waiting for another volume of All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku from ADV MANGA

There are only nine novels, so they may well finish up at about the same time. |

I was wondering if the novels were the same as the manga content wise? |

You've got a long wait, then. The manga is only 1 volume long. What angers me is stopping Steel Angel Kurumi with 2 volumes to go, or Happy Lesson with ONE to go. |

The novels are original side stories. They don't adapt the manga story, but tell stories set between major events in the manga timeline. |

The only problem is figuring out where they take place. I know volume 1 and 4 told in the postscript, but it does get confusing. I mean, novel 4 takes place durring volume 4, but came out between 6 and 7. |
