Not a bad showing for Eva, given the three anime above it are even more unstoppable juggernauts than it is.

Can't say there are any surprises, though.

Hey, where's "Yes! Pretty Cure 5"?

I thought it grossed more than the Naruto Shippuden movie... Maybe it was 7th?

The MPPAJ's list only includes movies that grossed more than 1 billion yen. If you look back at our earlier report on this, the year's One Piece and PreCure movies are probably off by a couple of spots.

Given for how big the country of Japan is, to make more than 20 million US dollars is a fair amount.
