Just wanted to note that the Phoenix adaptation that Ichikawa directed is actually a live-action film that had small portions of animation in it (mainly animating the Phoenix herself).

Whoa 92! Man! Another veteran of the animation industry gone. He definitely led full life. May he rest in peace. I hope one day we see some of the older 'Phoenix' films.

Sad to hear him pass but 92's quite the age. Sounded like he lived a full life too. May he rest in peace. I hope one day I have the privilege of watching one of his films.
