I thought they were a "quality" company, but all they license lately is moe. I want Mind Game or Angel's Egg, not this crap.

I wanted, to get this one, but i hate the idea of paying BVUSA's prices...... I hope that BV learns from the other local companies and sells their product at the rate everyone else uses........

I probably won't like this one, but just to be sure; if I hated Shuffle and H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~ is there any chances I'd like sola? And on a sightly unrelated note, how about True Tears, what do you guys think?

Edit: Spelling.

If you liked Kanon, sure. I wouldn't say H2O and SHUFFLE! are in the same league as sola.

I liked Sola. But, not enough to pay Bandai Visuals ridiculous pricing.

sola is pretty good but could of went on a little longer. Smile True Tears is interesting to say thus far. Some series could be better if they had some more history of certain characters and/or events that went on in the past.

I figured with the manga announcement earlier that they would be releasing the anime as well. Glad to see Sola licensed and definitely looking forward to it Smile

Ugh, and I really, really liked the series too. But I seriously refuse to support their overpriced, sub-only releases. This will be hard to wipe this series out of my mind.

How many more titles is Bandai Visual USA gonna get after this? First Haruka, then Shigofumi and True Tears, now this. Can't they make their prices smaller and dub their series already? Why can't they do that?

Nice to see this picked up- I do hope it'll be marketed at a price similar to the Haruka release [29.95 subbed] rather then the mid to higher prices seen on other BVUSA TV releases [40 for TrueT/Shigofumi, 50 for SRWars, 60 for GARune... it seems it's all a case by case basis, and unclear if it's based on a series age or BV's guesstimation of it's marketability].

A 5 dvd release at a regular SRP wouldn't be too bad.......Still, if it is at a higher price, I hope they'll be going for the bonus CD edition of the DVD's for make it more worth it.

Their attitude is that anime fans want to pay high prices for a few episodes a disc without an English dub. And they KNOW what anime fans want. Rolling Eyes

Sarcasm aside, they want to treat the R1 market as an extension of the Japanese market and release series faster on DVD. While the second part sounds great, it means they don't do a dub and the first part means low episode counts per disc. (You think people complain about low episode counts when they only get 4 or 5 episodes a disc? Imagine 2 or 3, sub-only, for more than a 5 episode, bilingual disc!)

Eh, as I'm staying away from fansubs now, I'm not familiar with this series. Given the people involved, it sounds like a good one though. Too bad it's going down on my "Never Need To Buy" list. (Why spend two or three times the money on a series I'll never enjoy as much (English dub fan) as others that are out at more affordable prices?)

Someone should knock some sense into them that they're gonna go downhill one day if they keep this up. I don't have any Bandai Visual titles but I think they're going overboard with this. No dub? That's sad. I would've loved to hear Haruka in english.

I really don't want to support Bandai Visual USA's lack of dub and high prices, but since I love the series I have no choice but to buy this one and give it support. Kind of a shame, but I haven't bought any of their other releases and hopefully won't have to again after this.
